Area residents win International Toastmasters Speech Contest

Jeremy Beckett of Stockbridge and Dylan Lundgren of Lenox are the first

and second place winners of the International Toastmaster Speech

Contest which was held at the Southern Berkshire Toastmasters club on

October 1.

Each International contestant presented a 5 to 7-minute speech on any

subject that they chose.

The contests are an annual Toastmaster tradition with more than 30,000

Toastmasters competing.

Beckett and Lundgren each have the opportunity to advance their

speeches through several levels where they ultimately compete for a

chance to take part in the World Championship of Public Speaking.

Southern Berkshire Toastmasters meet the first, third, and fifth Tuesdays

of each month in Great Barrington at the Main Street Campus of Berkshire

Community College. Guests are free and welcome.
