THE INCREDIBLE NAUMKEAG PUMPKIN SHOW – Historic Property’s Month-Long Celebration of Fall and Halloween

STOCKBRIDGE, MA – September 11, 2019 – Celebrating the arrival of shorter days and starry nights in the Berkshires,The Trustees is excited to announce The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show, a month-long, spooktacular familyfriendly
celebration of fall and Halloween. One of the most treasured sites in the Berkshires, Naumkeag is offering new ways for families and children to experience the historic property outside of the typical summer season—and in an
entirely new light. The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show will open October 3 in the renowned public gardens, featuring 400+ jack-o-lanterns, 1000+ pumpkins and gourds, and slightly spooky surprises.

The gardens will be decorated with hundreds of pumpkins grown on the Naumkeag farm, as well as botanical arrangements, myriad lights and more. Guests will encounter a mind-bending vortex tunnel, smoke bubbles, a shireinspired
woodland village, a bonfire for s’mores, and concessions. While this event will definitely inspire the spirit of Halloween, it is a non-scary experience that will be fun and appropriate for all ages. Details on and registration for these programs can be found online at The Incredible
Naumkeag Pumpkin Show will run Thursday – Sunday from October 3 – October 24, 27 and 31, 4-8:30pm. (On October 25 and 26, the Pumpkin Show will close for the Haunted House.) Tickets are $9/members, $15/non-members, children
under 12 free. Some individual shows and programs have separate ticket prices. All event updates (including any weather-related cancellations) will be posted on the Naumkeag Facebook page.

Against this glowing backdrop, visitors can also enjoy a variety of programs and experiences taking place on various dates in October, including the kid-friendly Pumpkin Trail, which winds through The Incredible Pumpkin Show, where guests meet nocturnal woodland creatures from the Berkshire woods as they emerge from the shadows to share their
stories and fun facts that will delight children of all ages. This is a non-scary event that is fast becoming a fall family tradition. Preregistration is strongly recommended. October 4, 5, 11 and 12, Friday and Saturday, 5pm-7:30pm.

Admission to the Pumpkin Trail includes admission to the Incredible Pumpkin Show.
The Creepy Crawly Live Animal Show, with Rick Roth from the Creature Teachers, is an exciting and memorable presentation with alligator, python, tarantula, opossum, tegu lizard, armadillo and kinkajou. October 6, Sunday, 4pm; $15 for an adult (nonmember) and $5 for children $9/member and member kids free. Registration includes admission to
the Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show following the event.

Award-winning mind-reader, mentalist, and hypnotist, Keith Zalinger shares his astonishing clairvoyant talents on Sunday, October 13 at 8:00 pm in Mind-reading with mentalist Keith Zalinger. Zalinger engages the audience to help
demonstrate the latent powers of the human mind while keeping everyone entertained. This astounding demonstration could include hypnosis, telepathy, subtle mind control, clairvoyance, prophecy and more. Registration required–this
show will sell out! $35 per person; ticket includes admission to The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show prior to the event.

Based on the classic board game, Live Action Clue is tailored to Naumkeag with suspects based on the real movers and shakers from the story of the Choate family. Players are given identities and game rules in advance of the game date.
The evening’s admission includes the game, one drink ticket and light appetizers, as well as admission to the Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show. 1920s attire is encouraged but not required; advance registration IS required. Ages 18 and
up. October 18 and 19, Friday + Saturday, 7-10pm, cocktails at 7pm, game begins at 8pm; $40 members, $50 nonmembers.

This event includes admission to the Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show prior to the game.
We transform the Pumpkin Show when the Naumkeag Haunted House returns with a delightfully frightful experience that is not for the faint of heart! Naumkeag has grown this event to become one of the Berkshire’s best haunts and the tradition continues this year with bigger scares and new surprises in the mansion and through the gardens.

Recommended for ages 12 and up. October 25 and 26, Friday and Saturday, 6:30-9pm; $20/members, $25/nonmembers. Pre-registration is required for this event as we have a limited availability.

Halloween at Naumkeag is an all-ages evening of Trick-or-Treating through the Incredible Pumpkin Show, with the help of local businesses and friends who will hand out candy to guests. Naumkeag will close out its October festivities with
live music, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a bonfire with s’mores! October 31, Thursday, 4-8:30pm; $9/members, $15/members, free for children and Stockbridge residents.
In addition, on Thursday evenings this fall, Naumkeag will have live music and a bonfire by its Snack Shack concession stand from 6-8pm. The Snack Shack offers local beer from Big Elm and simple cocktails made with Berkshire Mountain Distillers liquor, assorted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as treats from the Marketplace Café and BOLA granola.
